About

A day-use bathing facility in Hamura that runs on waste heat from the West Tama Sanitation Union's incineration plant and natural hot spring water drawn from roughly 1,800m underground. It reopened after a renovation in February 2026 with a Finnish sauna (auto-loyly) and open-air baths in "Hi no Yu" and "Tsuki no Yu" (which swap between men's and women's use weekly), plus a reservation-only private bath that is not fed by the natural spring. The spring is an alkaline simple hot spring (pH 9.0, source temperature 36.3°C). From JR Ome Line Hamura Station East Exit, the "Hamuran" community bus (Hamura-East course) runs directly to the Freshland Nishitama stop. Open 10:00-22:00 (last entry 21:00); closed Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a public holiday) and for the New Year holidays (Dec 31-Jan 2). Towels are not available for rental, so guests need to bring their own or buy one at the shop. Guests with tattoos are not admitted.

The "Hi no Yu / Tsuki no Yu" fee covers a 3-hour visit. The listed price is for visitors who do not live, work, or attend school in Ome, Fussa, Hamura, or Mizuho (adult ¥960, extension ¥240; elementary school child ¥480); those who do live, work, or attend school in one of those four municipalities pay a discounted adult ¥600 (extension ¥150) and child ¥300, with infants free. Guests presenting a disability certificate receive a 50% discount, and one accompanying caregiver is admitted free. The private bath (1 hour, up to 4 people, reservation required) is charged on top of the above admission fee: +¥1,000 for residents of the four municipalities or +¥1,600 for others. Electronic multi-visit tickets (valid only for Hi no Yu / Tsuki no Yu, not the private bath): a 10-visit pass is ¥5,400 for residents (¥2,700 child) or ¥8,640 for others (¥4,320 child); a 5-visit pass is ¥2,700 for residents (¥1,350 child) or ¥4,320 for others (¥2,160 child). Towels are not available for rental, so guests need to bring their own or buy one at the on-site shop.
