About
A men-only sauna facility a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Akasaka Station (Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line). It houses what is said to be Japan's first public "magma spa" sauna, which uses a proprietary technique of heating natural lava rock with steam to hold the room at 65°C and 60% humidity. The cold plunge uses spring water sourced near Mt. Fuji, filtered through layers of dozens of natural minerals including bakuhanseki, quartz, and tourmaline. Swimsuits are required in the bath area, and a face towel and swimsuit are provided free of charge. Signing up for the paid app membership (¥550/month, first month free) brings the price down to ¥2,000 for 60 minutes or ¥2,500 for 90 minutes, versus ¥3,500 for 60 minutes as a non-member ("visitor"); extending your stay is ¥250 per 10 minutes, and the drink bar is ¥500. Guests with tattoos of any size may enter after purchasing and applying a covering sticker sold at the store. Guests must be of junior-high-school age or older.
