About
A men-only combined sauna and capsule hotel facility a 2-minute walk from Exit 6 of Azabu-Juban Station (Toei Oedo Line). It originally opened in 2024 as the women-only "Sugoi Sauna Higashi-Azabu" before being converted into this men-only sauna-plus-smart-hotel concept, "Sugoi Sauna & Stay Azabu Juban Ekimae." Like its sister location, Sugoi Sauna Akasaka, it uses the same public-style "magma spa" sauna, a proprietary technique of heating natural lava rock with steam to hold the room at 65°C and 60% humidity. The cold plunge uses spring water sourced near Mt. Fuji, filtered through layers of dozens of natural minerals including bakuhanseki, quartz, and tourmaline. Swimsuits are required in the bath area, and up to two face towels plus a swimsuit are provided free of charge. It is open 24 hours with no fixed closing day, but the sauna is unavailable 4:00-5:00 Tuesday through Sunday for cleaning, and the bath area is closed 2:00-6:00 every Monday for maintenance. Non-members ("visitors") pay ¥3,000 for 60 minutes, while joining the paid app membership (¥550/month) brings the price down to ¥2,000 for 60 minutes, ¥2,500 for 90 minutes, or ¥3,250 for 120 minutes; extending your stay is ¥250 per 10 minutes, and the drink bar is ¥500. A bath towel (¥100) and loungewear (¥500) are rented separately. Guests with tattoos whose exposed area is smaller than an A4 sheet may enter as-is; larger tattoos require purchasing and applying a covering sticker sold at the store. Prices above are the non-member ("visitor") rate for the 60-minute course, with no difference between weekdays and weekends/holidays. Extending your stay costs an extra ¥250 per 10 minutes, and the drink bar is ¥500 (both separate). Joining the paid app membership (¥550/month) brings the price down to ¥2,000 for 60 minutes, ¥2,500 for 90 minutes, or ¥3,250 for 120 minutes. Up to two face towels are provided free (a third costs ¥50), and a swimsuit is provided free of charge. A bath towel rents for ¥100 and loungewear for ¥500. The 2nd-floor rest area (available 10:00-16:00 only; capsule rooms cannot be used from there) costs an extra ¥550 on top of any course.
