About
A 2-minute walk from Zoshiki Station on the Keikyu Main Line. For roughly 50 years the site operated as a sauna-equipped sento called "Takano-yu," which closed in 2020 due to aging facilities. Under new management, it was substantially renovated and reopened in March 2022 as the designer-style sento "COCOFURO Takanoyu." The baths comprise three types: a hot bath (atsu-yu, 43-45°C), a carbonated-spring bath, and a cold bath (90cm deep). The sauna uses an automatic "heat-wind auto löyly" system that generates heat and mist, with a music löyly session every 20 minutes; sauna use costs an extra ¥200 on top of admission. The rest area is furnished with sofas, tables, manga, and a TV, and serves draft beer (including Heineken) and soft-serve ice cream (¥280) among other snacks and drinks. Bath towel (¥160) and towel-set (¥280) rentals are available for guests arriving empty-handed, and items such as a logo towel (¥130), underwear, toothbrushes, razors, and lotion are sold at the front desk. Free Wi-Fi is available. Mixed-gender bathing is not permitted for guests age 7 and older. Open 6:00 AM to midnight (last entry 11:30 PM); closed on the 3rd Thursday of March, May, September, and November. No parking.
